Patient-Led · Disease-Agnostic · Connected

Turning lived experience into lasting change.

PatAdvHub gives patient-led advocacy the nonprofit infrastructure, community, and platform it needs to grow — fiscal sponsorship and back-office support, disease-specific Signature Programs, patient education, connectivity across the advocacy ecosystem, and real-world evidence that moves the science forward.

What we do

Four pillars. One mission.

PatAdvHub is built to work across every disease community we serve — not just one. Signature Programs are our most visible work, but they sit alongside three pillars that matter just as much: the infrastructure that lets advocacy projects launch, the education that helps patients self-advocate, and the connectivity and evidence that move the whole field forward.

Fiscal Sponsorship

The 501(c)(3) infrastructure — finance, compliance, governance, donation processing — that lets patient-led projects launch and grow without building a nonprofit from scratch.

Patient Education

Plain-language resources and self-advocacy training — including our partnership with CACHEducation — so patients and caregivers can navigate care with confidence.

Community Connectivity

Bringing patients, caregivers, advocacy organizations, healthcare professionals, and professional societies together around shared goals — across every disease area, not just our Signature Programs.

Real-World Evidence

Turning lived experience into the data and insights that move the science forward — so every community we serve can see better outcomes.

Our Signature Programs (like Lung Cancer's From Stigma to Celebration) are where these four pillars come together for a specific disease community — but education, connectivity, and evidence work happens across the entire PatAdvHub network, including disease areas without a Signature Program yet.

Community Connectivity

Built by advocates, for advocates.

PatAdvHub connects patients, caregivers, advocacy organizations, healthcare professionals, and professional societies into one ecosystem — so good work doesn't happen in isolation. Our growing network of partner organizations already spans multiple countries and disease communities.

Our Story & Leadership

A serious institution with a warm heart.

David Dubinski

Founder

David Dubinski

Founder & Chief Mission Officer

David dedicated 25 years inside the biopharmaceutical industry to one conviction: that patients deserve a seat at every table that matters. As Head of Patient Advocacy at Incyte, he created MPN Heroes — one of oncology's most recognized patient-recognition programs — and went on to lead advocacy at Blueprint Medicines and CTI BioPharma/Sobi. A published contributor alongside leading oncology researchers, he walked away from a successful industry career to build PatAdvHub from the ground up. Today he serves as its Founder and Chief Mission Officer — the architect behind every program, partnership, and platform PatAdvHub creates.

"Advocacy projects shouldn't have to choose between mission and infrastructure. PatAdvHub exists so they never have to."
David Dubinski · Founder & Chief Mission Officer
Cheryl Petruk

Cheryl Petruk

President

Cheryl turned personal loss into purpose. After her late husband's MPN diagnosis, she founded both Heal Canada and the Canadian MPN Network — building from scratch two of Canada's most important patient advocacy platforms for the blood cancer community. That same instinct to build where there is nothing brings depth and credibility to her role as President of PatAdvHub.

Lynn Takach

Lynn Takach

Executive Director

Lynn is the operational backbone of PatAdvHub. As Director of Daily Operations at Patwell Pharmaceutical Solutions — supporting biotech and pharmaceutical clinical trial supply chains for over 20 years — she has mastered the art of keeping complex, high-stakes systems running without a single missed step. A Millersville University graduate, Lynn applies that same precision and reliability to PatAdvHub's day-to-day infrastructure: the kind of steady, behind-the-scenes leadership that lets every program and partnership focus on mission rather than mechanics.

Tina Godschall

Tina Godschall

Secretary

Tina knows what patient-centered care looks like from the inside out. She built her entire career within Cooper University Healthcare — starting as a hospital operator and earning her way to Training & Resource Specialist by developing the digital tools and systems her team needed to do their jobs better. Today she oversees the protocols running after-hours answering services across 150+ outpatient offices in the Cooper health system. Her path — from the front lines of patient communication to a systems leadership role she created through her own initiative — is exactly the kind of story PatAdvHub exists to support.

Carolyn Fitzsimons

Carolyn Fitzsimons

Treasurer

Carolyn sits at one of the most valuable intersections in healthcare: she understands both how drugs get developed and how they get to patients. With nearly three years managing clinical trial logistics at Syneos Health — one of the world's largest biopharmaceutical solutions organizations — followed by her current role as Regional Marketing Director at Johnson & Johnson, she has seen the drug development journey from trial supply chain to commercial launch. A Liverpool John Moores University graduate, Carolyn brings PatAdvHub the financial acumen and cross-functional perspective of someone who knows exactly what it takes to move from science to impact.

Kate Makowka

Kate Makowka

Board Member

Kate has spent nearly 30 years doing one thing exceptionally well: making patients and healthcare providers pay attention. From Wyeth and Endo Pharmaceuticals to Mylan, Otsuka, and now Ipsen — where she leads portfolio marketing for Value & Access — she has launched and scaled some of pharma's most recognized brands across every channel that matters. A West Chester University graduate and recipient of both Wyeth's President's Leadership Award and Endo's Circle of Excellence Marketer of the Year, Kate brings PatAdvHub the rare skill of turning an important message into one the world actually hears.
